Shot largely on location with a cast of first-time performers, this modest production is remembered today as the first Chhattisgarhi-language feature film. It follows a message carried across two villages during a season of drought, and the quiet obligations that complicate its delivery. Little of the original negative survives; most modern prints are reconstructed from a single 16mm archival copy.
